Kristen V. Hedstrom, M.P.H., is Boston Scientific’s Vice President of Payer Relations & Value-Based Opportunities. She leads the strategy and development of value-based arrangements for key technologies, focusing on building partnerships with non-traditional customers that deliver better clinical and economic outcomes. Previously, she led the Global Health Economics and Reimbursement Strategies for the company’s Neuromodulation division as the Director of Health Economics & Market Access. Ms. Hedstrom began her career at Boston Scientific in Government Affairs, as the Director of Policy and Reimbursement. 

Prior to joining Boston Scientific, she spent twelve years working in government affairs for physician specialty associations, including the American College of Surgeons and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. At those associations, she directed the activities and staff in establishing and operationalizing strategies around key priorities, such as healthcare reform, Medicare payment, medical liability reform, and scope of practice. 

Ms. Hedstrom began her career in Washington, D.C., as a healthcare legislative assistant for Representative Mike McIntyre of North Carolina.    

She holds a master’s degree in public health from Emory University and an undergraduate degree from the University of Richmond.
