*Ryan Howells (Leavitt Partners) Mr. Ryan Howells is the principal of Leavitt Partners, LLC. His client work focuses on health insurance market reforms, disruptive distribution channels via public and private exchanges, and how implementing technology can improve the triple aim of reducing costs, increasing quality, and improving outcomes. Until 2015, Howells served as vice president of Government Programs at Connecture, Inc., where he led the implementation, client services, and business development functions for the company’s Government practice and was executive sponsor of Connecture’s StateAdvantage product.
Over his career, Howells has worked with multiple consultancies to help national and regional health plans, state and federal government organizations, HIT companies, and delivery systems solve complex problems. He previously worked at iHealth Technologies, where he was responsible for overseeing the implementation and client services teams for the company’s state and federal businesses. While at iHealth Technologies, he was also an account executive for multiple Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, and Commercial managed care organizations.
Today, Howells serves as executive director of the Private Exchange Coalition. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), and has a bachelor’s in English from Brigham Young University and a Master of Health Administration degree from the University of Southern California.
