Karly Schledwitz – TennCare

Karly Schledwitz is a Governor’s Management Fellow for Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam. She works with the State’s Medicaid agency, TennCare, focusing primarily on payment and delivery system reform as part of the Tennessee Health Care Innovation Initiative.  She is implementing Tennessee’s federal SIM (State Innovation Model) Grant focusing on Tennessee’s primary care transformation strategy to implement both multi-payer Patient Centered Medical Homes (PCMH) and Health Homes for TennCare members with severe and persistent mental illness.

Karly graduated from the Harvard Kennedy School with a Master of Public Policy in May 2014. Karly graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Furman University in 2009 with a double major in Political Science and Communication Studies. Following graduation, Karly worked in Washington DC, starting her career with the House of Representatives Committee on Science and Technology. Karly also worked as Media Manager for the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace where she interfaced with top journalists and scholars.
