JP Sharp (CMS)
JP Sharp, JD, MPH, is CMS Innovation Center MACRA Lead. He joined CMS in 2014 and currently leads the Innovation Center team developing MACRA Alternative Payment Model policy. In the Seamless Care Models Group, he developed the Next Generation ACO Model and led legal and compliance monitoring activities for the Pioneer ACO Model. Prior to working at CMS, JP clerked in government affairs at the Henry Ford Health System, in the Office of General Counsel at the University of Michigan Health System, and in a medical-legal partnership in Michigan. JP received his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School, M.P.H. from the University of Michigan School of Public Health, and his A.B. in Psychology from Harvard University.
