Greg Bowman (Anthem) Greg Bowman’s current role in the Government Business Division of Anthem is Staff VP of Provider Collaboration and Payment Innovation. He’s responsible for, among other things, developing and implementing strategies to move Medicaid and Medicare provider reimbursement from pay-for-volume to pay-for-value. Greg has worked in the managed care industry for 30 years. Prior to joining Amerigoup 7 years ago, Greg worked for Trigon BCBS / Anthem / WellPoint for 7 years. At WellPoint, Greg held various positions, ranging from medical informatics leader, Enterprise PMO leader, and VP and CFO for the Health Solutions business unit headed by the Chief Medical Officer. Prior to joining WellPoint et al, Greg spent 16 years at CIGNA HealthCare. At CIGNA, Greg held various financial, operational, medical management and provider contracting roles, ultimately serving as the President and General Manager of CIGNA HealthCare of Virginia for 5 years. Greg holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Wake Forest University. He resides in Richmond, Virginia with his wife and 2 children aged 24 and 21.
