9B: Preliminary Recommendations on Performance Measurement

Performance measurement is one of four foundational elements of population-based payment models that is being addressed by the PBP Work Group. During the session participants will hear an overview of the white paper recommendations and a panel of Work Group members, representing various stakeholder perspectives, will speak to the proposed approach for achieving a more outcomes-oriented measurement system for population-based payment models. The panelists will describe the principles and recommendations made by the PBP Work Group, and how these recommendations can be utilized to advance the long-term sustainability and success of PBP models in achieving better care at lower cost. Participants will have an opportunity to offer feedback on the draft paper (read here (link)).

Objectives:

Participants will gain an understanding of the Work Group recommendations and have an initial opportunity to offer feedback on the draft paper.
