Laura McWright (CMMI/CMS) Laura McWright, J.D., M.S.W., is the Deputy Director for the Seamless Care Models Group in the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). Her group houses the innovative payment and care delivery models related to advanced primary care and accountable care organizations, namely the CPC Plus initiatives, Next Generation ACO Models, and the Comprehensive ESRD Care initiative. Her group also manages health plan innovation models for Medicare Parts C and D.
Ms. McWright has been in federal service for over 20 years serving in a number of leadership roles including serving as Director of the Medicare Parts C and D Legislative Analysis Group at CMS’ Office of Legislation, the Director of the Payment Policy and Financial Management Group within CMS’ Center for Consumer Information and Insurance Oversight, and a Division Director overseeing the National Health Service and Nurse Corps participants at the Health Resources and Services Administration.
